They are representative of images collected and stored in the mind of the ArtistBeast, filtered through the 4th Dimension and rendered onto canvas. “Like lite brites from childhood with a worldwide perspective and wonderful colors and textures”.
Since the beginning of this decade, ArtistBeast has roamed the globe living and working on every continent except the South Pole with local and indigenous artists and everyday people from all walks of life. He has also visited every American State.
Traveling through each country, sometimes at night, The Artist was fascinated by various structures in a state of disrepair or abandonment lit by the light of the Moon.
The Artist sometimes describes his work as “ Visceral Subconscious 4-D Art “.
I call them Gesamtkunstwerk, the German word for “ A Total Work Of Art “. What I mean by this is that a total work of art activates other sensory and spiritual organs while being viewed. When I first gazed upon these pieces, I noticed that my Memory was activated. I began to remember images that must have been stored in my memory and were now revealed. Also, I began to wonder about the people and animals that at one time lived there, what they did for a living, where were they?
What countries where represented here, where were these places? I began to Imagine what the people looked like and at one point I saw Humans and Animals walking around, Women cooking, Men chopping., on and on…
I could smell the smoke, the food, even wood.
